The Joy of Witnessing!

O mighty God, how wonderful art Thou
To love the world, while heav'ns before Thee bow
I fail to comphrehend it all somehow

Well, this song has became one of my favourites. The tune, and most importantly the words which helped me to express my feelings to the Lord in simple words. Though simple, the feelings I have for the Lord are expressed in them.

".. And wonder how the God who made the whole
Could ever fix His thoughts on such as I
And give His Son upon the cross and die.."

Don't you find these words so meaningful? Don't you fail to comphrehend so many time how much God loved you? Don't you fail to understand why God who created ALL things would want to spent so much effort and time moulding you? Don't you fail to understand why the God whom the heavens bow at, with 12 legions of angels running at His commands is willing to stoop down as low as a man to suffer, bleed and die on the cross for us?

It makes me think and think. This "gospel story" no longer impacts us anymore because it has became numb to most of us. We had heard it ever since we understood the language. Like Isobel Kuhn said in her book, "By Searching". It has become an "old time religion". It has become a story to us. Numb because of the number of times it is grounded to us when we were young. But think again, is it really a story? Isn't it the history, something that happened on this surface of earth 2000yrs before? DOesn't this "story" fascinate us anymore? Think again. It should, and forever should fascinate us of this wonderful LOVE. God's LOVE for His creation. After reflecting on this song, it made me think more on it. The bible says that whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--think on these things. Yupp, so think about this "old time story" that we learnt of and reflect on it. It will change your life.

So, it was like this. God first created the heavens and earth, the sea, the plants, the animals, the hills the mountains the valleys, then there came man and woman. God loved them. But they chose to disobey God and sinned. Throughout the ages, man had done so much hurt and damage to God. We know of so many incidents in the bible when man strays and God in His wrath wanted to destroy them. God had been so merciful and gracious even to be disappointed and hurt so many times by the people whom he loved. Yet. Does any one think about God's feeling? We humans are so self-centered that we always think about ourselves. We cry out "Lord, Lord, help us" the Lord comes and help us. But do we know that God also has feelings. Everytime we go against His will, we sin, he is hurt in the heart. Imagine how much damage had been done to His BIG BIG heart? The Lord could have, in His wrath destroyed us. Or He could just stay in heaven enjoying Himself. He was not wrong by staying in heaven. We chose to disobey Him. Yet, yet, out of so many setbacks, heartaches, tears, anger, and making our mighty God look like someone who "must" save us, He still wanted to sacrifice His Son, Jesus Christ to the people, whom he knew would betray Him and hurt God's feelings again. Think and feel with me: God so high, came down to earth to suffer so much, so humble even to the point of death on the cross. Yet after His death and free life offered, ppl still refuse to believe? Still stray from Him. Use this to help us keep focus. Any human, who has a conscience, if someone was to throw their life to save that person, would try in anyway to repay this "deed". Much less this "someone" was GOD! Wow! It teaches us to stay focused, love Him so much and think how we can please and glorify Him in everything we do.

SO true! His grace is unbelieverbly impossible for us to believe! Thats why we doubt. If we were to grasp this truth and understand it! There would not be ppl who stray, nobody who will doubt, everyone will believe! ITs the mindset of humans to think until so complicated, definitely not necessary. Such simple truths complicated by humans. Sigh. Think on these things..

Well, I had just experience the joy and the thrill in my soul of witnessing to someone! Wow! I want to start it right away, if only the Lord sends ppl in my way. How it thrills my soul!

"Anyone can define the meaning of life? Come enlighten me.." this nick popped up and I quickly clicked on it. It was Shane. I believe that he has a heart to learn and find answers, only that he has joined my the other friends in making fun of me in class because of my religion. I have been praying for him. Yes I have. And the Lord definately answered my prayer. I thank God. He is a burden I have in my heart. I asked what he felt the purpose of life was. He replied he didn't know. I prayed at the instant to ask God to give me that soul, to use me to save him. I was filled with excitment and joy. I really got the feeling of being thrilled in my soul as Isobel Kuhn said. And I've learnt just this morning that Isoble said in her book that Hudson Taylor's motto if moving man through God by prayer alone. Yes, I've prayed hard. And I remembered that verse mentioned in the book from the bible, Matt 18:19 "Again I say unto you, Thay if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my FAther which is in heaven." O, to think how God works in wonders! I seeked prayer from many. I believed the Lord has begun work in him. And we had quite a discussion. Before I talked, I feared I could say anything. But as we moved on, I thank God for granting me wisdom and strength and He taught me everything to say and it thru the power of the Holy Spirit! Continue to pray for this soul! I will and I will nv stop. Learning to move man through God by prayer alone. Pray that the Lord will help me, fill me with wisdom and of the Holy Spirit as a begin my evangelistic ministry on earth! What joy it has to reach out to pple!
