Awaiting the holidays :)

Wednesday, October 27
Hellos!

Aiyoh, still have 2 more days before the holidays come. But for me, it is as good as nothing because my holidays are packed with training. 10 times a week can you imagine. Now that my Sats and Sunds are not to be touched by my training, I have to train twice everyday from monday to friday! Woah, thats, urm alot? Oh well. So ultimately what difference does holidays make? Ohya, can wear ankle socks, don't have to attend lessons that can sometimes make you sleep (yea?),don't have to face discipline master everyday, abit more flexible hours. But to me, it comes as go. The only thing worth looking fowards is probably Youth Camp, hopefully, and urm catching up on my rest reading some books I want to but didn't have the time. Planning for the holidays already eh, but ultimately still leave the final schedule to God. How will He arrange my activites, sort out my timetable.

Finished re-reading Isobel's By Searching, now reading Nests Above the Abyss. Its a continual story from where Isobel left us at By Searching. This book is mainly about her work, or rather the attempts to preach th gospel to the Lisu people. Its somehow is encouraging to me when I read it. It makes me think when I remember the accounts of how the Lisu christians and the evangelists bring the gospel to people whom have never heard of Christ. There are many thoughts that come to me. Why do these Lisu people recieve Christ so easily? As in why do they have so much faith and trust in God's word compared to us? We sometimes have to present the gospel to someone so many times and finally it still does not reap any fruit. But these Lisu people, upon hearing the story of resurrection, that there is life after death and only through Jesus Christ our Lord, they cast our their old ways of worshipping demons and worship the true and living God! Its scary to know that satan do have strongholds that Christians havent breached through until now. How satan keeps these Lisu people from hearing the gospel, and christians from reaching out to them. So, one by one, satan keeps these poor souls from their salvation. Its a rather scary thought. And I feel challenged. Why do we take the gospel in a such light manner with so little importance? Over there, people are dying to hear the gospel, people want to hear it. Not only that christians give up their lives just to present the gospel to the Lisu people. Yet, we are really, as the chinese Idiom suggests, "Living in prosperity but don't know how to appreciate". How ignorant are we to these? Thank God we have the freedom to preach, the freedom to worship, etc. But aren't we taking these freedom for granted? Lisu christians treat every worship as their last, and present the gospel to anyone they can. But do we take our worship services for granted? Do we go for the sake of going, and not to worship and praise God? Do we get so caught up in our lives that we neglect the work we are suppose to do- present the gospel to everyone? Are we ashamed of the gospel? After reading the book, and how the christians made use of every opportunity to win souls to Christ, I feel that I am and feel so ashamed of myself for not doing even a little of what the Lisu Christians are doing? Some people are willing to die for the sake of the gospel, but some, just stubbonly unwilling to open their mouths to teach life after death- eternal life through Christ- to others? I believe, if we are convicted, we should commit ourselves unto the Lord, (as I will) and ask Him to send souls in our way so that we can win them over, through His Spirit. Its time we start to plant the gospel seeds so that the harvest would be plentiful when Christ return. When was the last time you preached Christ to anyone? Do not be dumbfounded to know that you cannot answer this question. Many a times, I find myself speechless when come across this question. Simply commit yourself to God and let Him use you to deliver the message of salvation to everyone around you! And hopefully, this is something we can keep in our prayers. Now, that we know the importance of prayer, do pray for souls to be won for Christ everyday and allow God to add to the numbers the people who have trusted Christ each day. Put this to our daily prayer.

Youth Camp! Invite your friends! Its really a great chance for Christ to be preached and souls to be won over. Don't hesitate. Your hesitation might eventually cost your friend's soul. Pray for this camp to be fruitful too, that God will work mightily in this camp. Believe me, prayer is very important!

Got to go, take care. Ciao~ (:
