heyya, yea still trying very very hard to study oh well, i did manage quite some today. thank the Lord for giving me focus and discipline for a while. well right now, i have finished 2shang ciyu and zaoju, and thermal energy for science. wheew! thats so lil. my my, exams are like 5 days away. excluding english which i feel doesnt require any studying. and what am I doing? does my actions glorify the Lord? will it bring glory to Him finally when the results are back? trusting is one thing. working hard with His strengthe is another. both work hand in hand with each other. without hardwork, dun count on the Lord to help you do well, without faith in Him, don't count on Him to work. guess i really have to work on my studying . think i should be more perserving, its only one week before I am free lor. oh well, STUDY STUDY STUDY!

well decided to blog a lil because i really want us to think about this. what is it to be a CHRISTIAN now? i mean what do you mean when you say I AM A CHRISTIAN? well, i think sis CC's blog has an entry on how the world has really seeped into churches and how christianity is "misused" in a sense. its saddening to see people from my class, christians in my class not taking a stand for the LORD. its really saddening. what makes me even more grievous is the fact that not only do they not take a stand, they stand with the other side of and make fun, mock at us christians. i dunno why but recently i've stumbled upon a few people whom i never thought they were christians, but when I realised they were, it was surprising really. not that i want to judge. not that i am in any position to judge my brothers. but really i do have to bring this out because i feel that the word CHRISTIAN has really taken a different meaning in the world today. why have we allowed things from the world to seep into our religion? why have we mingled and added things of the world into churches? why do we have to continue "liberating" ourselves from the so called, "strict" rules of the religion when what Christians have is the TRUTH, and the truth shall set you free! but why do we allow ourselves to mordenise to follow the trends of the world. examples are clear, in some churches, they "worship" the Lord with rock and pop music? is that worship? is that acceptable to God? what's worse is that some simply go there because of the music, some go there for the star singer who is a church leader, wow! the focus is not on God. it is on the music, the fun, the enjoyment. how much truth has been revealed and really understood by all who go for the church services? do you think that the church has been missued if these were the main focus, or the main attraction of the church? whats more appalling is that some of my friends go to church to socialise. ever heard of that? to meet girls to make friends to have fun. no, i dun mean that we should stop them. no! it is a good chance to win them over if they come with a soft heart. but if the main purpose is to have his or her fun, and not to seek after the truth its hard, its really hard.

when we say we are a CHRISTIAN, what do we really mean? why is CHRIST in the word CHRISTIAN? because it is all about CHRIST. can we say we are christians when we are ashamed to stand up for God even in our schools, then how are we ever going to complete our mission here. all we going to be christians who enjoy the making fun of others, mocking others, listening to pop music, watch movies, or even mocking your own brother in school? how can we be called christians? are christians making use of every opportunity to reach out to others? are christians standing up for what is right, no matter how high the cost is? are christians defending his faith when people make fun of his or her God? are christians contented with living a comfortable and enjoyable life having all they want, money, fame, what nots? or are they willing to suffer for Christ? are christians nowadays not much different from any one of the world. did the LORD not say that we ought to be LIGHTS of the world. (Matthew 5:16) God's beacons. how can we be the same with the people of the world. if we are no different from them, our light is not shinning. it is blown out. when we scanned around us do we see christian soldiers standing up above the rest or are our christian brothers defeated soldiers held under the captive of the world?

what freedom do we want? how much more freedom do we, christians want? freedom to listen to pop music? hmmm.. freedom to watch any movie i want to? freedom to do anything i want to regardless of what it reflects on my testimony? how can you say that you love God when you are not keeping any of HIS commandments?

its really really apalling to see defeated soldiers all around us. com'on christian soldiers! the battle is fierce we have to stand our grounds, put on the full armour of God lest we be devoured by the devil who's like a lion ready to ensnare us. com'on soldiers of the Cross. take up your sword(the bible)put on your armour(prayer) and go hand in hand with your brothers(fellowship) and keep on the firing line. challenge the world and win souls for the LORD. wake up, do not live a powerless life?

What does it take to be a Christian? think about it. beware of people who go around preaching that christianity is a way to be rich, to be healthy live a comfotable life and pleasent life. no worries no troubles. beware of them. Christianity, the LORD says requires everyone to bear their cross, to suffer load and loads, but will the gift of eternal life, what more can we ask for? if Jesus Christ, King of Kings, Lord of Lord, suffered so much on earth, how much less can we expect to suffer since we are HIS servants? whoever taking a stand for Christ will be persecuted. whoever standing up for Christ will suffer. but isnt that what we are suppose to be? servants for God. but our good and gracious God never allows us to go through this alone, HE is always near us and watching over us. but one thing to think over, "What does it take to be a Christian?"

Are you a Christian?
