Soulwinner

Sunday, February 27
Firstly. My utmost gratitute and appreciation to my cousins Bro Daniel and Sis Joann. (: Both of you have indeed been God's blessing in my life and I truly thank the Lord for both of you! Not only for your generosity, but also for really showing care and concern to me! May God bless both of your richly and may you continue to be as loving a couple as God has made you!

To Daniel.

Wow! I truly thank God for the past two days spent together. It was, to me, really God-sent and I really enjoyed the, though short, but meaningful time spent. Yupp. You've answered and cleared many of my doubts and have proved to be truly a man of God. Thank you for your example to us youths, thanks for your zeal that you have for our Lord, thanks for the enthusiasm you have to further God's work! Through the past two days I have indeed seen and known what and how God can build and use a man who seeks and serve Him in humilty, faith and love. May you continue to seek God's will, may He direct your steps and may our gracious Lord use you, our faithful servant-in-Christ!

To the rest of the Tans family.

You have been a blessing, I believe not only in my life, but also in the lives of many many people. I really can imagine my uncle philip and aunty heng pleading and praying before the Lord for Him to shape, to mould and to build a family such as yours! I can imagine how fervent and earnest prayers from my uncle and aunt has touched the Lord to bless thus. Can we not picture them pleading with God, to "make me a blessing". I think God has indeed, answered their prayers. The tans have indeed been an encouragement. God has used them so greatly not only in service, but also in many people's lives. See what God can do to families built and based entirely on His will. And see what God wants to do to our families in future. I thank my Lord for my aunt and uncle, if not for them, I would never have come to love and trust my gracious Savior. I thank God for David who has exemplified a life living in the fear of the Lord, a man who has shown wisdom and knowledge in Christ and His Word. I thank you for the many advices you have given to me. I thank my Lord for Darrell too. Who never fails to love me as a cousin, as well as a friend, a dear brother. Whose life shows talents that once refined by the Lord can be of such power and impact to people. Who shows the real sensitive side of a person, a caring and loving personality of a brother. For Sis Joann, who cheers everyone with her humorous "lame" jokes :p. Ha. Jokes aside. Whose life has exemplified a women after God's own heart. A faithful, discerning, caring servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. And of course, Daniel, whom God has blessed with such wisdom, as well as love and kindness. May the Lord bless the Tans family and may they be a continual blessing and encouragement to us! (:

May all glory and honor be to God forever! May we see God's loving, gracious and mighty hand working in each and every life mentioned. The world can and will see the difference between a family build on God's desire and a family founded the world's way. Let us acknowledge the undeniable fact that God IS good and truly, understand what the Bible means when it mentions, "Blessed is the man whose hope is in the Lord!" Indeed, blessed is the man who trusts in OUR God!

Great is Thy Faithfulness

Indeed, great is my Lord's faithfulness! I can testify this fact with my whole life. Have we ever considered how blessed we are, to have a God as such? Who loves us thus much? Who has shown such faithfulness to His creation, much less mention enemies? When I think of it, I just cannot cannot understand and comprehend why would God want to do that? No, its above our comprehension. Jesus Thy boundless love to me, NO thought can reach, NO tongue declare. Amen! And its so surprising that inspite of this, we can stray from our First Love. What draws us away from this amazing source of LOVE? Why does people draw us away from an Almighty, loving Father? Why does material wealth, fame, or anything in this world turn our eyes away from a Savior like Jesus? Doesnt our UNFAITHFULNESS, in contrast with His FAITHFULNESS convict us and bring us to shame and utter helplessness? What is man that thou thinkest of himself? What worthiness do we possess to live, much less our own way? Can we truly say right now, honestly, to the Lord, as the Psalmist David prayed in Psalms 73, "And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You."?

Hebrews 3:15
As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”

Ask God to search our hearts now. I pray if there be "an evil heart of unbelief" or any life that stubbornly holds on to what we have, that rightfully does not belong to us, do not harden your hearts to the Holy Spirit's conviction.

Have we forgotten how these songs used to bring such conviction on how and why Christ came for us?

Why leave a heavenly mansion?
Why choose a simple stall?
Why wander poor and homeless?
The King and Lord of all.
Why heal a lonely begger?
Why cause the blind to see?
The light of all creation, shining there for me.
It was for me He cried
For me He died
For me He shed his blood up on a tree
It was for me He came
For me He shamed
For me
O praise His name, It was for me!
OR
Who is this man of sorrows
Who has borne my grief
Why did the stripes that fell on Him
Bring me relieve?
Who made Him sole, an offering
For my vilest sin
Why should He want to claim
The souls of you and me!
It is because His love
Cannot be measured
The One who gave His life
Now lives in me
My heart sings
Hallelujah what a savior!

Its indeed an amazing truth about how our great God loves us. It is indeed an indescribable gift! (2 Cor 9:15). But it is what we are going to respond to this truth that really matters! Are we going to harden our hearts through unbelief? Or will we give God what He is due of- our life?
May the Spirit of God convict each reader, search him/her, and reveal anything that is held back from an all-knowing God.

Soulwinning- My Mission

Listen to the people
Crying everywhere
Groping in the darkness
With a load of care
Listen to the hopeless
Living in despair
Is there none to help them?
And the gospel share.

O the Holy Father
Listen to my prayer
Heal this selfish servant
From my worldly care
Help me spread the message
That the world may see
Jesus loving me
Now to every creature
A proclaimer be!

Thank you for Thy spirit
Working in my heart
I see my transgression
Clean Thou every part
Where I've been so blinded
Of my vainity
Grant me heavenly vision
To win the lost to Thee!

O the Holy Father
Listen to my prayer
Heal this selfish servant
From my worldly care
Help me spread the message
That the world may see
Jesus loving me
Now to every creature
A proclaimer be!

Through this week, God has been faithfully, patiently drilling to me this message- start your soulwinning! I thank God for the many many lessons He has taught me through His Word, through experience, through Pastor's teaching during youth meeting, through Daniel through David. I realised one thing: How often we have been distracted from our calling and yet we continue as though nothing has happened? Though subtle, this can be satan's dealiest weapon against the new believers. The thing is that soulwinning should begin the very moment you recieve the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! It is the unexpressable joy, the indescribable gift and love that we want to proclaim to our friends and our loved ones! Who limits us to only witnessing after we are adults? After we asume a leadership position in the church? Who places age as a limit to when we start witnessing? Its time we ask ourselves a simple question? Where do we go on from here?

Grow Out Of Our Own Concerns

Its time we move on, Christians! Do not allow satan to watch by one corner laughing and mocking us for we are but sleeping christians! Take our stand and start fighting this good fight that our forefathers once fought. We should never neglect the Great Comission given by our Savior. "Go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations..." Its time we start to take off from our comfort zone and move into "war" zone. We have indeed basked long enough in the comfort of the youth ministry, dear youths. We have been fed well, and we are all armed and equipped. What is stopping us now from fighting the fight? Let us start to make our life count for the One who gave Himself for us. Enough of being over-concern with our needs. Its time to be concerned WITH Christ rather then asking Him to be concerned over our own concerns. I must stress that we still have to study hard, and do our best in whatever we do for our Lord. But, let us not be so distracted by them that we forget what we are actually here for?!?! As what Bro Daniel has shared with our sunday school today, do not miss the forest just because you are seeking for the tree!! Its the same way in saying, don't allow our school work, worries, not even to say material things of this world bog us down and cause us to miss golden opportunities for the Lord. Dear fellow youths, take the stand right now, and be a soulwinner for Christ!

I've recently expressed my concern to Bro David about why we do not usually see many very faithful christians in our school these days! Sometimes I really wonder why there seem to be so many christians who arent living their christian life as they ought to. I think there is indeed a serious concern and problem with the world now, especially the youths! Let us start to be burdened to pray! We have indeed seen an upsurge in compromising amongst christians leading to sin. Yes, as Pastor preached, compromising always leads to sin. And let us start praying for the youths and even christians in the world today. There is indeed a need for revival in the work and workers of God in this present age.

We cannot give in now, now that redemption draweth nigh. Do feel burdened. Do pray with earnest hearts pleading for God's kingdom to be faithfully furthered by His workers!

Meditate on this passage, it has been an encouragement to me, may it be one to you, to be faithful and press on! May we start to work for our Lord, may we fight this good fight as we are called to!

Hebrews 10:35-39
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. "For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; but if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him." But we are not of those who draw back unto perdition, but of those who believe, to the saving of the soul.
